SEWING MACHINE OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Sewing Machine Operator for a Sewing Machine Operator in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for running the industrial sewing machine for the manufacturing of cloth for face masks. Any home sewing machine experience will be considered. This position is full time temp to hire.
Pay Rate
$13.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:00 PM
Sewing Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities
• Ability to work with thick, large & heavy canvas material
• Use appropriate sewing techniques
• Perform alterations to existing patterns or creating new patterns
• Cutting, sewing & gluing fabric according to the requirements
• Affixing snaps, zippers, clasps & similar fittings as required.
• Operating the foot pedal, plus the stitch length & width regulators as you sew
• Replacing the sewing machine’s needle, as required.
Sewing Machine Operator Requirements and Qualifications
• Demonstrable experience as a sewing machine operator.
• Create & follow patterns.
• Working knowledge of sewing machine mechanics.
• Outstanding eyesight or utilization of corrective measures.
• Ability to adjust sewing equipment to ensure it is working at is best.
• Use a sewing machine and measuring tools to make custom canvas covers for ATV’s, golfcarts, boats, etc.
