Sheet Metal Mechanic
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Sheet Metal Mechanic for a company based in Louisa, VA. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in fabricating, assembling, and repairing sheet metal components used in various mechanical systems. The role involves working with precision and efficiency to produce high-quality metal parts for installation in machinery, equipment, and structures.
Pay Rate
$22.00-$28.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 3 30 pm.
Sheet Metal Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
• Cut, shape, and form metal sheets using tools such as shears, brakes, rollers, and presses
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components, including ductwork, enclosures, panels, and chassis
• Weld, solder, or rivet metal pieces together to construct assemblies and structures.
Sheet Metal Mechanic Qualifications and Requirements
• Proven experience as a sheet metal mechanic or similar role in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and accurately
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in sheet metal fabrication is preferred.
