Shipping and Receiving Lead
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Shipping and Receiving Lead to work with a company based in Deer Park, TX. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, have expertise in Oracle NetSuite, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities. This position requires someone who can effectively manage and supervise a team of 3+ employees while ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of shipping and receiving operations.
Pay Rate:
Starting pay $20 - $25/hr. [depending on experience]
Schedule and Hours:
8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
Shipping and Receiving Lead Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Manager in overseeing all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate order processing, receipt of goods, and shipment scheduling
- Assist in leading and supervising a team of 3 or more employees, providing direction and support to achieve departmental goals
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and receipts using Oracle NetSuite
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers to resolve any operational issues
- Ensure work processes are followed, adapting quickly to changes in workload or business needs
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, priorities, and areas for improvement
- Perform with efficiency, accuracy, and timely performance, instilling a sense of urgency and responsibility among team members
Shipping and Receiving Lead Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written communication)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Shipping and Receiving, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite or similar warehouse management software
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members, management, and customers
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
- Proven ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Forklift certification is a plus
