Staff Accountant
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a direct hire Staff Accountant for a fast-growing custom fabrication and installation company based in Ball Ground, GA. As a Staff Accountant, you’ll handle core accounting duties including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, job costing, and inventory control—all while contributing to a company committed to innovation, sustainability, and professional development.

Pay Rate
$25.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Staff Accountant Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage job costing and financial tracking for custom construction and manufacturing projects
• Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Maintain accurate General Ledger entries
• Process Sales and Use Tax filings in compliance with regulations
• Oversee inventory control processes
• Track and collect employee time data for payroll
• Perform detailed data entry and administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy
• Process payroll using a third-party provider
• Perform regular account reconciliations
• Manage company credit card activity and related expense reporting
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy across all accounting functions
Staff Accountant Qualifications and Requirements
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills
Strong data entry and administrative skills
• Proven experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger management
• Working knowledge of Sales and Use Tax reporting
• Experience in inventory tracking and payroll data collection
• Familiarity with third-party payroll systems
• Strong reconciliation skills and credit card expense management
• Drug Screening and background check are required at time of hire
Preferred (Bonus) Skills & Experience:
• Background in project administration and/or construction accounting
• Proficiency in file imports/exports between accounting software
• Experience with lien waivers and construction billing
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, or lnnergy Software
