Structural Painter
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Structural Painter for a company based in Richmond, Texas. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for applying coatings to protect the surface of structural steel components, such as bridges, structural steel, outside frames, and other metals.
Pay Rate
$16.00 an hour.
Schedule and Hours
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM (Flexible schedule)
Job Title Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing surfaces: Cleaning, scraping, wire brushing, steam cleaning, or abrasive blast cleaning surfaces.
- Applying coatings: Using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other equipment to apply under and finish coats of paint.
- Mixing paints: Matching paints and other coatings to ensure color consistency and to match existing coatings.
- Maintaining equipment: Cleaning, performing routine maintenance, and repairing equipment.
- Examining finished surfaces: Verifying conformance to specifications and retouching any defective areas.
- Operating vehicles: Transporting personnel, equipment, and hazardous materials
Job Title Qualifications and Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Rigs, erects, or moves scaffolding and staging
• Protects personnel, facilities, and equipment
• Conducts safety inspections
• Matches color and finishes
• Physical stamina and the ability to remain standing long periods
of time.
• Expose to outside climate, heat, rain or cold.
• Previous experience in a similar role
