Press Die Setter Trainee
Automation Personnel Services is looking for hard-working Press Die Setter Trainees for Adient, a major auto parts supplier located in Clanton, Al. In this job, you will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as adjusting tooling, reading and interpreting blueprints, and other related duties.
Pay Rate:
$17.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours:
Monday to Friday with weekend work possible, you will train on first shift but this is a second shift position
Press Die Setter Trainee Duties and Responsibilities
- Entry level position trainee
- Study job instructions or other instructions and work out the sequence of machine operation.
- Set up dies needed in machine or presses for precision work, using basic hand tools.
- Test run machines, make adjustments as required, advise or instruct operators and watch the first operations.
- Fine motor control and strong hand-eye coordination are helpful, as they make adapting to the physical components of the job easier.
- Attention to detail in manufacturing process.
- Follow workplace safety standards.
Press Die Setter Trainee Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Drug screen & criminal background check
- Excellent attendance and willingness to work flexible hours
- Experience in tooling maintenance of stamping, forming, and punch dies.
- Light machining skills (bench grinder, drill press, etc)
- Familiar with metric measurement system and fasteners (nuts, bolts, dowels, etc)
