Warehouse Supervisor
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for a company based in Birmingham, AL. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure the timely completion of production quotas, and manage the warehouse team to maintain a high level of productivity. This is a full-time, hands-on role requiring strong leadership, multitasking skills, and a commitment to maintaining efficient operations.
Pay Rate
$18/hour (with significant pay increase after the first 90 days)
Schedule and Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (must arrive by 6:30 AM)
Warehouse Supervisor and Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates in the bagging of salt to meet daily production quotas.
- Monitor and ensure that all work processes are completed according to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Organize workflows and delegate tasks to maximize productivity and ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory counts, employee performance, and daily output.
- Act as the main point of contact for team members, answering questions, providing feedback, and handling concerns or conflicts as they arise.
Warehouse Supervisor Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience (does not need to be extensive, but must have experience leading and directing a team).
- Strong focus on productivity and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
- Mechanical skills are a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
