WELDER
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Welder for a company based in Houston, TX. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for completing all welding operations on sub-assembly parts and complete heat exchangers.
Pay Rate
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (Able to work night shift if needed)
Welder Duties and Responsibilities
• Welding and grinding as needed
• Review engineering drawings prior to all manufacturing operations
• Ability to read prints to determine weld types, sizes, and other information required for welding
• Respectfully always maintain effective working relations with co-workers
• Complete work in a safe, productive and efficient manner
• Work in other areas of production as required
• Complete all projects and tasks assigned by the Manager
• Notify supervision to determine when machinery needs to be placed out of service
• Notify tool room attendant to order machinery replacement parts, shop production consumables, miscellaneous supplies and safety supplies
• Follow all safety rules and procedures
Welder Qualifications and Requirements
• Must have 3 plus years of Welding experience
• Must have recent experience with 2G Carbon Steel
• 1 - 3 years of experience in ASME Code Fabrication
• Basic knowledge of heat exchanger nomenclature
• Fundamentals of manufacturing processes, safety and personnel management
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work with and apply mathematical concept
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Able to lift up to 50lbs. (lifting assessment will be completed in office)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Drug screen and Background check required
