Welder
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder for a leading manufacturer of industrial radiography equipment and gamma-sealed source provider, located in St. Rose. Pay Rate
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour ($45,670-$49,940 average yearly income)
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Welder Duties and Responsibilities
• Meet production deadlines and fulfill work orders promptly.
• Perform TIG and Stick welds on various parts, prepare metal surfaces, and operate necessary equipment.
• Preferably experienced with manipulator arms; control fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent issues.
• Adhere to QA standards, inspect finished products, and report any faults to management.
• Maintain shop, equipment, and tools; request supplies to ensure inventory and availability.
• Coordinate with managers and coworkers to efficiently complete projects and work orders.
• Perform additional duties, including physical tasks, in a climate-controlled warehouse, and safely work with radioactive material.
Welder Qualifications and Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in metal fabrication; proficient in shop mathematics and interpreting drawings.
• Capable of obtaining and maintaining NRC clearance; compliant with drug-free workplace policies.
• Willingness to acquire necessary certifications to enhance job performance.
• Ability to handle heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions; adequate vision for reading drawings and machine controls.
• Team-oriented, respectful, cooperative, detail-oriented; limited travel and flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
