LINE OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Line Operator for a company based in New Orleans, LA. In this role you will primarily be responsible for safely operating production equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.
Pay Rate
$16 per hour
Schedule and Hours
1st Shift Tuesday – Friday / Hours: 4:30am – 3:00pm
2nd Shift Monday – Thursday / Hours: 2:30pm – 1:00am
Line Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates production equipment efficiently according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and food/employee safety requirements and guidelines to meet daily labor and waste goals as planned and driven by management.
- Utilize Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime, perform quality compliance documents and communicate with support functions.
- Responsible for completing change overs for their assigned equipment and/or production line.
- Responsible for learning and maintaining customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality.
- Reads and follows instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications.
- Accurately completes all quality, traceability, and production paperwork.
- Reports any product deficiencies, food or safety concerns to supervisor.
- Performs minor equipment adjustments to ensure equipment is operating optimally.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and assists with product change overs.
Line Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of machine operating/production experience preferred
- Technical skills include the ability to start and stop equipment, complete a changeover, and operate one piece of equipment
- Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication, good time management skills and the ability to follow rules and directions
- Leadership skills include a positive attitude, being a team player and self-leadership
