CDL Truck Driver
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working CDL Truck Driver for a company based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for transporting cargo to and from ports and intermodal facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience, a valid TWIC card, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Pay Rate
Weekly salary $1,200- $2,000 Depending on experience.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (hours based on production needs)
Job Title Duties and Responsibilities
• Safely operate Class A trucks to transport containers between ports and intermodal locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours and cargo information in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and port personnel regarding cargo status and any potential issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws while on the road.
• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing freight.
Job Title Qualifications and Requirements
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience, specifically in intermodal transportation.
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card is required.
• Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
