A&P Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved procedures on commercial aircraft, such as Boeing 737, B757, B767, CRJ700/900, Airbus 319/320/321
• Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved procedures on commercial aircraft, such as Boeing 737, B757, B767, CRJ700/900, Airbus 319/320/321
• Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and corrosion control on aircraft systems, including fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems.
• Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft engines, structures, and components.
• Accurately document all work performed
• Use blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to perform assigned duties.
• Perform touch-up painting as needed
• Complete tasks assigned by supervisors in support of daily hangar maintenance operations.
A&P Mechanic Qualifications and Requirements
• Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license (must be current and carried at work)
• Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license (must be current and carried at work)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain SIDA badge (pass background check)
• 2+ years in commercial aircraft maintenance (MRO environment preferred)
• Combinations of experience in commercial, regional jets, and helicopters are also considered
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and heavy maintenance procedures
• Familiar with FAA regulations (FARs), ADs, service bulletins, and maintenance manuals
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics
• Proficient with tools, gauges, and equipment
• Understanding of hazardous materials handling and disposal
