AIKI Breakdown Operator
Ridgeway, SC 29130
Position will require work on 2nd shift. Pay is $12.00 per hour. The AIKI Breakdown Operator will:
Read and verify press plan is complete and clear.
Review plate size and quantity on press plan; using the AIKI control panel, move correct plate size to S-5 table to feed build-up line.
Set up the AIKI breakdown line program in the counter screen of the AIKI control panel corresponding to the laminate construction and quantity as stated in the press plan.
Resolve suction problems, accidental jams, or downtime by troubleshooting controls on AIKI control panel or by manual intervention.
Place cardboard and kraft paper between laminates to differentiate thickness of product in preparation for finishing.
Maintain continuous quality inspection throughout breakdown process.
Work with engineering and quality technicians as needed.
Maintain constant communication with build-up personnel for book modifications or line down time.
Participate in weekly preventive maintenance cleaning.
Cross train in other areas.
Assist other operators to ensure timely shipment of product.
Maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas including equipment, tools, and work surfaces.
Use Lean/Six Sigma Methodologies to improve the process.
All employees will be required to participate in training and continuous improvement events.
Ability to work within a company registered/compliant to National and International Standards and Requirements, and contribute to those standards and requirements. For example: ISO, EICC, OSHA, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
