Logistics Specialist
 
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Logistics Specialist to join our team. This position requires flexibility in handling billing, warehouse operations, and general customer service responsibilities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient logistics coordination, accurate order processing, and excellent client communication.
 
Pay Rate
$18.00 an hour
 
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm 
 
Logistics Specialist Duties and Responsibilities 
• Maintain and update customer profile information in the Freight Optimizer system.
• Enter customer orders and tenders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure on-time and damage-free arrivals.
• Communicate with account managers, receivers, and customers regarding load status and any issues.
• Take check calls from drivers and confirm load details to ensure delivery schedules are met.
• Validate all delivery information prior to closing loads for accounting purposes.
• Investigate and document overages, shortages, and damages.
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments as needed.
• Accept or decline loads based on account manager direction.
• Provide clear routing instructions and support drivers with delivery guidance.
• Assist with billing processes and maintain accurate warehouse documentation.
• Deliver outstanding customer service in all communications and problem resolutions.
 
Logistics Specialist Qualifications and Requirements 
 
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of logistics, transportation, or warehouse experience
• General knowledge of logistics and transportation operations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems
