Job Description: Responsible for the safe and efficient handling and receiving of scrap wax used to manufacture firelogs.
Shift: Training shift will be M-F 9am-5: 30pm and regular shift will be M-F 7am-3: 30pm, with some mandatory weekends
Pay Rate: $11.52 per hour
Responsible for receiving scrap wax by truck (barrels, slabs or boxes).
Processes scrap wax by splitting solid barrels or loading into steam cabinet.
Pumps wax from barrels or vats into storage cars.
Assists with the receipt of liquid wax by connecting/disconnecting hoses to incoming trucks/railcars.
Assist with Key Ingredient counts by maintaining bay tags and daily melting reports.
Operates the barrel splitter and various pumps in a safe and efficient manner.
Assists with other wax receiving duties such as moving rail cars, attaching steam lines for heating or wax hoses for off-loading.
Completes required paperwork.
Checks all materials and supplies and takes appropriate action to prevent or limit the production or shipment of nonconforming material or product.
Assists in investigations to determine causes of quality defects.
Performs daily preventative maintenance tasks and safety inspections on assigned equipment.
Reports any issues to supervisor.
Walking/standing approximately 90% of work time. Sitting at work station approximately 10% of work time.
Typical factory environment with concrete floors and moving equipment.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
