Machine Set-Up Technician
Chattanooga, TN 37401
Pay Rate: $15.50 hourly + $.20 differential for 2nd Shift + $.30 for 3rd Shift
Shift: (Train on 1st shift)
2nd shift, 2: 45 pm 11: 15 pm
3rd shift, 10: 45pm 6: 15am
Set-up and cycle machines in a safe and efficient manner
Follow proper set-up and cycling procedures as per ISO 9001 and QS 9002 work instructions
Troubleshooting on presses, making minor repairs as required
Repair and maintain moulding guns when required or directed
Transport and store molds using forklift
Work with maintenance and Quality control to maintain process control
Perform minor repairs on molds and machines
Identify when major repairs are required on presses and moulds and advise supervisor
Keep work area, mould storage areas, pre-setup area and equipment areas safe and tidy
Complete all paperwork accurately
Participate in cross-functional teams and aid in the training of new employees
Participation in the 5S program
All other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent plus post-secondary training in technical courses (eg. Hydraulics, pneumatics - minimum 2 related courses)
Minimum 2 years related set-up experience
Excellent mechanical ability and working knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics
Good physical condition and able to do heavy lifting as required.
Able to work independently and in a team effort
Provide own tools according to list provided
An understanding of paperwork required and the ability to complete accurately
An understanding of the importance of cycle speeds.
Shift: Must be available to work 2nd or 3rd shift ( 2nd 2: 45 pm 11: 15 pm ) (3rd 10: 45pm 6: 15am )
