Maintenance Technician
Automation Personnel Services, a highly regarded and award-winning staffing agency, is growing its presence in Illinois. We are seeking motivated Maintenance Technicians for a leading battery cell manufacturer in Matteson, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing production lines designed to assemble battery modules. Upon completion of the lines, you will be responsible for ensuring that the lines run to optimal performance. Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inspect, test, and monitor machines and equipment to quickly identify causes of malfunctions and prevent downtime
• Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and calibrate hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems to meet strict operational standards and tolerances
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment life, reduce unexpected breakdowns, and improve overall reliability
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements to support production efficiency and quality goals
• Apply engineering and technical knowledge to evaluate equipment performance, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment testing through accurate system logs, manuals, and reports
• Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and fellow technicians to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures while contributing to a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements:
• 1 – 3 years job related experience preferred including any combination of skills, experience, or specialized education or training in the following (multi-skilled preferred) electrical, mechanical, or automation
• Strong proficiency in English communication, including both written and verbal skills, is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend for duration of a 12 hour shift as well as lift 50lbs consistently
• Ability to wear PPE and operate in a sterile environment including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, safety suits, bump caps, hearing protection, gloves, and adhere to prescribed safety rules and guidelines.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment, including exhibiting strong interpersonal and communication skills with your peers
