Assists with the coordination and management of personnel work activities within distribution. Works collaboratively with other department leaders to ensure production or distribution material flow by planning, assigning, and assisting the work. Supports the job safety, productivity, and training of their work group. Provides input and recommendations with respect to personnel matters including hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for repairs and required preventative maintenance of trailers.
Build, rebuild, and repair all parts of trailer equipment.
Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing maintenance on equipment.
Physical activities include: walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, and more.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Previous experience as a mechanic/technician in the trailer industry.
Carpentry, welding and mechanic skills are a plus.
Must have own tools.
Ability to work full time with possible overtime.
