Warehouse Order Selector Job Description:
Under general supervision, the Warehouse Order Selector will assemble and select cases from pick slots for store orders daily in an accurate, efficient, productive manner and assembles order onto plastic pallets using a warehouse Management System and related components, pallet jacks and lift trucks.
Warehouse Order Selector Essential Functions:
-Prepares and loads voice template into Warehouse Management System and related components unit for specific warehouse selecting location.
-Performs visual and operational vehicle safety inspections and reports and unsafe vehicles to shift supervisor or maintenance personnel.
-Responsible for ensuring that all cases and pallets are properly identified with appropriate labels.
-Performs count / exception on pick slot locations if quantities are less than requested by warehouse management system and related components.
-Secures selected cases and conducts final pallet preparations by wrapping selected load and applying shipping labels.
-Prepares and places assembled case pick pallets and moves assembled pallets from picking areas to a dock door or staging area.
-Observes, reports and corrects (when appropriate) all unsafe and unsanitary conditions that could cause employee and/or customer accidents.
-Comply with OSHA standards.
-Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
-Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.
-Must meet production standards.
-Perform other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
Warehouse Order Selector Requirements:
-Ability to work independently.
-Availability to work varied schedule including weekends, early morning shifts and overtime.
-Close attention to details, meet deadlines, and ability to work with a variety of individuals and personalities.
-Understanding of basic math functions.
-Considerable knowledge of warehouse layout system.
-Working knowledge of all safety rules and procedures.
-Working knowledge of the Warehouse Management System.
-Experience and knowledge with operating RF units.
-Working knowledge of inbound / outbound process.
-Skill in efficiently lifting, stacking and building quality pallets.
-Basic computer knowledge and skills.
-Experience and skill operating Pallet Jack, High Lift, Sit Down / Stand Up Lift Truck, Hi-Lift, RC
-High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least one year of related work experience.
-Ability to carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
-Daily sitting, standing, walking, driving, lifting, carrying, push / pulling, climbing stairs / ladders, working at heights / balancing, bending and twisting at waist, crouching / kneeling, crawling, reaching, repetitive motion, handling / grasping, fine finger manipulation, talking, hearing, seeing, temperature extremes, vibration.
-Must be able to work in a cooler environment at 34 degrees.
-Steel toe shoes required.
Drug screen and background check required.
Schedule and Hours:
Wednesday to Sunday, 3:00 pm until 1:30 am or until finished.
